I think New Years Resolutions are usually very forced and silly, but because I am also moving this month, it really does feel like opening a new chapter in my life. My goals for 2009:
Be more social. It's amazing how much more withdrawn you feel switching from a day job to working at home. In 2009 I plan to drag the boyfriend to bars for greasy food, hang out with friends on a regular basis, and *possibly* even get a part-time job to meet people and supplement my income.
Take more photos of myself. Both to learn to take better self-portraits, and as motivation to make the effort to look and feel my best every single day.
Only eat what I love. I will try to eat more vegetables and raw food this year, but I can't eat healthy all the time, so my goal is simply not to partake in extra calories if they aren't worth it. If I'm going to stray from healthy eating, it's going to be for my faves, not second-best impulses I regret putting in my mouth.
I also resolve to work out more, in whatever form feels good and right. I'd love to be a size 2, but ultimately I just want to be able to put on any outfit and look fierce without fuss.
Launch my business for real. My goal is to possibly form an LLC, and I definitely want to figure out one name to do business under and what my goals are.
Start an adult blog. Whether or not I make any money, I definitely want to set up a blog of alternative naked girls. I used to want to model for Suicide Girls. I'm over that, but I still love the niche and would love to promote it.
Fix my credit. I have finally knocked off my hugest debt (an old apartment) and now have just a few small things in collections. To not owe anyone anything would feel amazing. I also need to be out of debt and able to save to plan my wedding. (No, I'm not engaged yet.) ;)
Get a puppy! I'm kind of set on a poodle mix, as they shed less than most other dogs. I want a small dog that can live happily in an apartment, and would love to adopt a puppy that really needs a home if I can find one that meets my criteria.

I've been trying to streamline my wardrobe a lot lately, as well as getting a lot more into makeup, and I suppose the changes I'm making constitute as a makeover. (It's really more like reverting to the effort I put in back when I was single.) I have no Before and After photos, but I do have these pics of a new makeup look. Shiny lips really step it up, but the boyfriend hates kissing me when they're glossed; I'll have to find a happy medium. I'm obsessed with bronzer - I use Loreal Sublime Bronze Gel mixed in with my face moisturizer and top it by brushing on Mary Kate & Ashley bronze powder.

My goal is to look more polished & sexy. I'm trying to rebuild my closet with quality basics only. I am **in love** with this blazer. It's real leather and fits like it was made for me. I have yet to hang it up because when I'm not wearing it, I drape it somewhere close by so I can sneak peaks at it.

I did this smoky eye using my new {Me}zhgan eye palette. Love the shadow, not so much the mascara, at least not for my upper lashes. I'm excited to have a good black shadow, and two more bronze-y shades. =)
I also made the decision to take out my lip ring, as it was cluttering up my face. I'm keeping in my monroe piercing; I got it to simulate a beauty mark - before that I'd been drawing one in with an eyeliner pencil. IMO my monroe actually adds something to my face. I'm leaving my septum piercing in as well, but I plan on keeping very small jewelry in it. Next order of biz is to find a cute pincer to go in my septum and some prettier plugs for my ears.

I cannot wait until I have paid off my debt, etc., and can actually spend my extra cash on a pedicure and tanning package.
I'm also in desperate need of new bottoms. I want more dark wash skinnies, a pair of acid wash skinnies, and some skinny black pants as well. My Forever 21 skinnies from two years ago are too big to wear now without a belt, but they've held up great otherwise. I'll likely end up buying a few pairs from F21.

I am definitely not getting knocked up until I get skinny enough pre-baby that I'm positive my body will bounce back. (Oh, and I also kinda wanna be financially stable.) When I do pop one out in 3-5 years, I hope they look like this, complete with poncho.
